Rise Up Like the Phoenix

T​he Film "Rise Up Like the Phoenix" documents the work of Asher Aud to commemorate the Holocaust and pay tribute to its victims. In what he describes as "his victory", Asher talks about his visits to Poland with officers and rank-and-file soldiers of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), as well as members of other Israeli security agencies (as part of the program "Witnesses in Uniform"), his trips to Poland accompanying Israeli high-school students delegations, and his exciting activity to discover and decipher gravestones of Jews in cemeteries across Poland. The Film is narrated by Asher who also plnned, wrote and filmed many parts of it. The film allows a brief glimpse into Asher's world and his sense of victory
